Associate Professor Peter A. Leggat

Associate Professor Peter A. Leggat is Associate Professor in the School of Public Health and Tropical Medicine at James Cook University, Townsville, Australia. He is also Visiting Professor at the University of the Witwatersrand in South Africa. Professor Leggat is Chair of the Faculty of Travel Medicine and Vice President of The Australasian College of Tropical Medicine. Professor Leggat has more than 15 years experience in medical education and is widely published in tropical and travel medicine, including being the Editor of a standard textbook in travel medicine, the Primer of Travel Medicine.

Professor John M. Goldsmid

Professor John M. Goldsmid is Professor of Microbiology at the University of Tasmania, Hobart, Australia. He was formerly Professor of Medical Microbiology at the University of Rhodesia, Harare, Rhodesia (now Zimbabwe). Professor Goldsmid is Immediate Past-President of The Australasian College of Tropical Medicine He has more than 40 years experience in medical education and is widely published in tropical and travel medicine and is a contributor to numerous textbooks in the area.
